Payment:

All lessons and tours are to be paid for in full at the time of booking.

Our booking system is powered by eola, an industry leading booking management system. The payment platform we use is Stripe.

CASH – We don not accept cash for any transactions.

Cancellation notice:

We must receive notice within 7 days of the commencement of your booked session. After this time we cannot guarantee a refund of your payment.

We reserve the right to cancel courses or change session dates and times due to weather or any other technical issues. In these instances an alternative date or time will be offered, or a full refund.

Weather Conditions:

In case of adverse weather conditions we may be forced to cancel sessions at short notice. In these instances we will contact you to arrange an alternative date or time.

Medical Declaration/Health & Safety:

Any person having tuition or taking part in a tour must be medically fit to participate, and able to swim confidently.

If you are unsure if an existing medical condition may impede your ability to take part in the session, or you have any additional support needs, please contact us before booking to discuss: info@oxfordsupclub.org 

If you have any medical condition or take a medication that affects the activity you must inform your instructor.

Paddle boarding requires a level of fitness, strength and flexibility. You need to be relatively fit and able to kneel without difficulty. You also need to be able to move from kneeling to standing without pain or difficulty.

The boards we use have a maximum rider weight of 110 Kilos (17 stone). Participants over 110 kilos may struggle with stability. If this applies to you, please talk to us before booking: info@oxfordsupclub.org 

Any person suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and deemed to be unfit will be refused permission to take part in any activity or use any equipment on the water and shall not be entitled to a refund.

Under 18’s:

Children under 18: EACH child under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult, on the water, during the session.

Risk:

There is an element of risk with any watersport, and the instructor is there for your safety, so their instructions must be followed to avoid exposure to any unnecessary risks. It is vital that you observe the instructors safety guidance for your safety and the safety of others. Please ensure you declare any medical issues/medication, you are aware that your fitness is suitable for the sport being undertaken and that you are able to swim confidently.

By completing your booking you understand and accept that all activities will be carried out at your own risk and that Oxford SUP Club will not be held liable in any way for any personal injury to yourself or others, or any loss or damage including in relation to personal equipment and possessions used in accordance with the conduct of the business.

Oxford SUP Club reserves the right to recall anyone that is unable to demonstrate an adequate level of competence or participate in a safe and controlled manor.

By acceptance of these terms you agree to partake in the chosen activity at your own risk.

Personal Property:

No liability is accepted by Oxford SUP Club for the loss or damage of personal belongings taken onto the water, including (without limitation) phones, keys, wallets, spectacles, clothing etc. Oxford SUP Club takes no responsibility for damage to, or theft of, vehicles on site.

On Site at Farmoor Reservoir:

Customers are respectfully reminded that they share the facilities at Farmoor Reservoir with members of Oxford Sailing Club, Oxford Sail Training Trust, people fishing and members of the public visiting the site and should be respectful to all site users. All visitors to the site are expected to take all their litter home with them.

Equipment:

The customer is responsible for the care of the hire equipment they are using, and any damage done to it during its use. Insurance against accidental damage is covered in the cost of hire however there is a £50 excess in the event of damage caused to hire and demo equipment.

River Thames Access:

For certain activities and SUP sessions we will access the River Thames. There is no access to the river when there are river warnings in place. Anyone using the river must hold an Environment Agency river licence.

Dogs:

Thames Water do not permit Dogs on site at Farmoor Reservoir. There is a 4 mile walk around the reservoir which offers views of the water, woodland paths, Thames riverside meadows and nature reserves. Dogs are welcome on the nature walk, if kept on a lead, but nowhere else on the reservoir site.

The walk starts from the visitor car park at gate three, and maps can be obtained from the Farmoor Reservoir centre. Information boards around the walk explain the wildlife interest of the area.

Photography and Videos:

We may take Photos and videos during the sessions on the water so that you have a memento of your SUP experience. Photos and videos are posted onto our public Facebook page so that you can copy and share your photos.  We may share images on Twitter or Instagram to help promote Oxford SUP Club. If you do not wish to have any of your photos placed on any of our social media pages, please let us know.

Any infringement of these terms and conditions may result in you being asked to leave the site.
