SUP Club Race Team
Our SUP Club Race Team runs alongside our usual SUP Club social paddle sessions. For members looking to push themselves harder, learn new skills and get involved in the fun and challenging world of SUP racing, we run regular training sessions, group coaching and 1-1 coaching.
The Race Team is open to all Club Members, regardless of experience, and we welcome paddlers of all abilities, on all sorts of boards, wanting to improve their techniques and train for success!
We have a wide range of experience within the team, with some quite accomplished racers who will be happy to show you their medals! We’re a very friendly team, and there’s no big egos to contend with. The emphasis is very much on the TEAM, so we all work together to improve as paddlers and encourage each other to improve technique.
As a team we attend a variety of SUP events and races throughout the year, across the country. We encourage Team members to take part in the GBSUP National Race Series, which holds a number of races around the country. As a Club we attend the British SUP Club Championships in September every year, hosted by our friends at Bray Lake SUP.
Race Team training runs all year round, with the majority of race events being held through Spring and Summer. We run races within the club, with categories for those with a competitive nature, and for those just wanting to experience the fun of a SUP race.
We have a range of boards suitable for race training and racing available to hire at the Club, and we can also help you source your own race boards, paddles and other equipment though our SUP Shop.
