BSUPA Level 1 – Ready to Ride – 1.5 hours

This course is aimed at those who have never stand up paddled before or have had a go but want to learn the basics properly.

Learning to paddleboard is a fast and fun process with a qualified BSUPA Instructor and BSUPA approved SUP school. The course structure is designed to give you the information you need to get on the water safely, have fun and learn the basic techniques of paddle boarding.

This 90 minute introductory session will include the following:

• WATER SAFETY BRIEFING
• PADDLING KNEELING DOWN
• PADDLING STANDING UP
• BASIC PADDLING TECHNIQUES – FORWARD, BACKWARDS AND TURNING
• FUN & GAMES ON THE BOARDS

WHAT WE PROVIDE: We’ll supply boards, paddles, leashes, buoyancy aids and wetsuits if required. If you have your own wetsuit, please bring it with you.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED: You need to bring a pair old trainers or water-sports shoes, swimwear, a towel, and your clothes for afterwards. You might also want to think about bringing food, a drink, a hat and suncream if it’s a hot day.

Please be aware that the changing room facilities are currently NOT OPEN. You will need to arrive ready to paddle, wearing the appropriate clothing.
